Some opinions of pretty decent x-pipes, exhaust systems that give an actual horsepower torque gain. I know that a lot of people choose the more expensive types like BBK, SLP, Magnaflow, Pypes. Some which are quite cheaper like Flowtech, Pacesetter. And a couple I just have no idea about like Dynomax and Hedman. I really want to get an exhaust system that will last a lot longer, so I won't go for Pacesetter and Flowtech because I know people say they are crap. Anyone know what brand I can get for cheap price, maybe around 600-800. Figuring most catted x-pipes will go for 300+, and dual exhausts go for 300+ as well. Also let me know how they perform if you know something about it.

I have an '05 Grand Marquis with glasspack exhaust system. What would happen if I put a Super Delta 44 Muffler and a Magnaflow/Flowmaster Catalytic Converter on it? It has single, NOT dual exhaust! I want more of a rumble and with just the glasspacks I don't feel like I am getting all the sound I want. Also, it has the 4.6 V8
I did some research and found out removing catalytic converters are illegal unless under certain siutations?
If my converter is working but I do fulfill the requirement that it is over 50,000 miles (it has 120,000) can I legally replace my converter even though it is working correctly?

Is Magnaflow catback exhaust system or factory exhaust better for a 98 Firebird Trans Am?
Will I lose power if i get a magnaflow? Or would it just be better to keep my factory exhaust system?

I have 98 trans am firebird with factory exhaust, would it be better to stick with my factory exhaust or get a magnaflow catback exhaust system? i heard i will actually lose power if i get a magnaflow catback. any suggestions? should i save money and stick with the factory exhaust since i havent had any problems with it and it seems pretty quiet

I know that Magnaflow and Borla are amongst the best out there, but I was just curious, which exhaust system has been tried and trusted for the WRX or STi? I'm not planning on converting my car into a full-time track car, I just want it to be a weekend racer...
To I <3 my suby:
are you talking about the APEXi GT Spec? I was look at those too, but now I'm just looking around, see what other WRX owners say first, because I've bought some stuff for my car vefore which turned out to be a heart break, right now, I have the Perrin short ram intake, strut bar, and the 22mm front and rear sway bars...

say I have a 1988 IROC Camaro with the original 350 in it. With it I have MAC Headers & y-pipe and a 3" Magnaflow cat-back. Would I be able to put a 383 stroker Crate engine w/ 475 HP in it without changing the headers and exhaust?

And would I have to do any other modifications to put a Blower on the 383?

does a flow-master of magnaflow sound ok on a 3.8 liter v6. my son wants it for his camaro and i'm afraid it will sound like a pregnant bumble bee. he thinks it will sound like the flow-masters on my truck. i've seen the complete systems for $400 and i have seen the mufflers for about $70.needless to say i'm not getting the $400 system. any help would be appreciated.

I have been researching dual exhaust systems and have found some I am thinking about getting. They are on americanmuscle.com the pypes or the magnaflow conversion kits. Just wondering if anyone else knows of some good ones.

i have basically decided to either go with a gibson or a magnaflow but im open to other suggestions
I hear good things from everyone about flowmaster but i cant find one that will be a custom fit and i dont really want to pay for an install i have a 98 jeep wrangler gibson and magnaflow have custom fits but i dont know how good they are

Anyone got any suggestions on mods and upgrades to put in my 97 chevy camaro I am already thinking of putting a Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust System and I am trying to find a intake system but I cant find one. Anyone got any suggestions?

im looking at ghl 2.5 turbo back and the magnaflow 2.5 turbo back. the magnaflow is definitely cheaper but is it quieter or louder? im looking for a "deep quiet idle" thats close to stock but not quite. i think both have a resonator along with muffler and the cat con.

will any of these two systems throw error codes on my dash display? i def need an exhaust with fitments for the 02 sensors.
anyone have an opinion on either exhaust or able to compare them?

How much horsepower will I get out of some of the stuff i want to do to my truck? I'm going to put a 40 series flowmaster on it running it to a magnaflow dual exhaust system. Put a cold air intake in it and chip it.

are the magnaflow magnapacks any louder than the regular magnaflow or do they juz have a different tone to them? I found a shop that only has regular magnaflow and they will only charge me 250 and if there isnt a big difference then i will go ahead and get them. I have a 02 GT by the way.

I want to put a magnaflow muffler on my mazda3. i was looking into full catback systems, but I just can't afford it right now. One of my friends says it will just sound like crap if i don't get the full system, but research tells me ill still get the same sound, but without the performance. I want a nice sound, (not a fart can sound). I just don't have the money for the full exhaust system.

I already have a cat-back exhaust system so that isn't a issue, its just my muffler went and i need a new one, but I don't want a fart can and i want it to sound good at open throttle and not to loud at idle.. I was thinking about a MagnaFlow 14851..

Hi, My friend has a 1999 Mazda Miata, and they want to change out the stock exuast system and add a performance one. Now, there looking for a more agressive rumble/growl from whatever new setup they purchase. Question is, what do you all think is the best Performance Exaust System to buy for this Miata to give it that tone there looking for. Nothing whimpy or sounding like a fart can type stuff please...Needs to be more adult oriented. If you guys could help me in finding a good system for them that would be great...I figured something like Flowmaster, Magnaflow, or Borla...but wanted to get your opinions...thanks!!!
PS:::Dont know engine type, Just know its an 1999 Mazda Miata!

I'm going to put ALL this into a 2000 Camaro SS, what do you think of it?

What else do I NEED to do, or should do, to make this AT LEAST a 10 sec. car?

I want an exhaust system that is kinda loud but that "clean" loud , please help me choose what brand?

looking for more power and a great sound to blend well with the magnaflow exhaust system i just installed.

hi, i have a 2001 ford expedition(5.4L v8). I want the sound of a magnaflow exhaust system or flowmaster, but im not sure if i want to buy the whole kit.Im not worried for looks.i just want the sound. And i don't want to run open headers.what can i do the is fairly inexpensive so my ford can sound like a ford.-thx
can't i just get a muffler and install that?

$4000
1993 camaro all black.
corvette engine
Z28 v8 134000mi
Car has....

Full Magnaflow dual exhaust including high speed cat, 2'' in to 3'' stainless magnaflow tips
17'' custom black rims - 275/40/17 on rear (WIDE) , 245/45/17 on front.
Bose sound system with 8'' bose subwoofer
Black tinted windows
Transgo shift kit
Remote starter
K&N filter
Brand new brake pads all around
New high performance springs in rear
Shocks done 3k ago
New bosch fuel pump and filter with lifetime warranty
FULL TUNE UP done 6/21/09 - plugs & wires, oil, all fluids, even new wiperblades.
AC works great!
power seats, locks, windows
There's also a block heater, meaning you can plug the engine into an outlet to keep the block warm.

I also still have the original Z28 wheels, with about 60-70% tread left on goodyear eagle gt tires. Would think about selling it for less w/ the stock wheels on instead.

Magnaflow or Flowmaster ?

im looking at duals for my Mustang

-Procharger 8+ psi w/ D-1SC Supercharger
-K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit +14.7 HP
-Hotchkis Sway Bar Kit 1” solid rear, 1 7/16” hollow front
-Holley Throttle Body Assembly 90 mm
-American Racing Vintage Torq-Thrust M Anthracite w/ Mach Lip Rims (21.6 lbs)
-Pace Setter Long-Tube Headers 1 ¾” tubes 3” collector
-Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust System 3” tubing 3.5” tips

I'd also like to paint the body windveil blue clearcoat metallic (ford mustang color) and paint the roof black.

what do you think?

Which Sounds better? A magnaflow, dynomax, or cherry bomb exhaust in combo with pace setter long-tube headers headers?

I could also swap the pace setters for BBK Full-legnths.
I could also combine one exhaust system with a muffler from the other.

what combo would you recommend?
And I'll only install a dynomax, magnaflow, or cherry bomb exhaust system.
dynomax exhaust system w/ pace setter long tube headers and a magnaflow tru-y pipe?

sound good?
forget the above.

magnaflow exhaust system.
pace setter long tube headers.

what about an off-road y? what's the difference between off road and regular?

i want to know some good exhaust systems for a 2001 blazer zr2. i was looking at flowmaster or magnaflow but dont know which. i want the truck to be loud and have a deep rumble. no cats preferred but whatever is good loud and within good price. thanks

I am considering buying a 1973 ford thunderbird. It ahs the 460 big block and is a deep blue colour. What would be smarter, restore it to classic or Restomod it? If i was to restomod it was thinking of putting a holly 850 cfm carb, 0.0030 overbore, painting it a blue pearlescent, 235/70/15R firestones up front 255/60/17R firsetones in the back, magnaflow 44 series exhaust, Some descent rims, a customized suspension system, tinting the windows with a 50% black tint, and customising the interior. Would that raise the value? I could do either but what would make it worth more?

im thinking about getting a new magnaflow catback exhaust for my car but doing the research, ive heard some people complain about droning around 2,3k rpms! does any one know how bad the drone will be on my car with this exhaust system or what system is good to get with minimal drone

I just bought a used 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Regular Cab pickup on the 12th of this month. And it has aftermarket dual cat-back exhaust installed on it. The dealer didn't even know the brand of exhaust either. And I was wondering if there's any way I can identify what kind of exhaust it is by a stamping on the muffler or something?
I looked under the truck already, and the muffler does not have any brand name like Magnaflow stamped on it at all.

Thank you. 10 points to best answer!

my friend told me that i needed both if i wanted to do this, not sure though, and can someone give me links for good exhaust and muffler system preferably magnaflow catback or borla =D

I have a '97 ford F-150 supercab 4x4. It's got the 4.6L 2 valve. I believe its towing capacity is about 5000 lbs.

I don't tow often enough to go spend money on a new truck so I'd like to make a few modifications to the one I have now. Currently it has a 3.55 limited slip axle ratio. I'm guessing that if I put 3.73 limited slips in it will increase the capacity a bit.

What are some other relatively easy mods I can install to get the max towing capacity of my truck? Replacing the shocks and leaf springs maybe?

I'm not looking to spend a ton. I just want to be able to pull my tractor where it needs to be without a problem.

I know I could probably do that now but I would be exceeding the towing capacity. I'd like to bump it up to 6000-6500 Lbs. That would be ideal for me.

I also don't want to kill my gas mileage.

If it helps the truck has just over 100,000 miles on it, headers, computer programmer, and hopefully soon it will have a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system and an S&B cold air intake.
Svoman do you mean the ball that I use in my hitch?

It should be fine. So if I upgrade my tranny cooler and get some helper leaf springs I should be good to go and two about 6000-6500 Lbs?

And I don't have a trailer with trailer brakes.
And should I install a different hitch or is the stock one O.K. for about 6500 Lbs?
Alrighty then. I looked in the manual and it said my towing capacity was 6600. I got confused with the weight the stock class 2 hitch could take. I'm going to put a class IV hitch on it. Would it be in the same place as the stock hitch? And could I still use the power port?

I'll look into trailer brakes.

i am wondering because i was on the magnaflow website listening to the sound previews of the exhaust systems for subaru impreza wrx models, but there is no sound preview for a normal impreza. so i am wondering if a normal impreza would sound the same as a wrx?

I own a 95 Pontiac Firebird and I want to fix it up. It has about 100,000 miles and what I was thinking of doing is rebuilding the engine before I put in any sort of performance parts. Everything in the car is stock, and I'm worried that I would need a new transmission if I can get 300hp out of the V6. Reading online the 3.4L V6 performs @ 160hp/200 lb. ft. Parts I have in mind putting in was a Magnaflow dual exhaust system and an intake for sure. But I was looking into supercharging it but I don't want a whole lot of power I'm looking from anywhere to 250-300hp/250-350lb. ft. no less or more. What would be the cheapest way (money wise) to go about doing this? Any suggestions? Prices? Anything can help. Thanks.

I have a 1996 Chevy Beretta in great condition. The engine 80k miles on it and I'm already going to install a magnaflow exhaust system. I don't know much about cars at all but what can I do to make my car faster? Perhaps a cold air intake? I don't really know what else though help please?
I forgot to mention its a Beretta Z26. 2.6 litre engine. Thanks

I recently asked this question but I left out a few things.. I said I have DC Sports Ceramic 4-2-1 Header, Magnaflow Exhaust system, and an Injen Technology Short Ram Intake. what else should I get?

But I also already have a nice suspension, rims, tires, and sound system.

so with that being said, what else should I get besides the Camshafts, fuel system, and ECU?

also WTF are halo's??

The car is in good shape, it has two little dents on the rear fender from people ive parked next to hit it with there door but barely noticeable. the car has 64,000 miles on it with the mach 460 sound system, 15% tinted windows, brand new bbk shorty headers, 4 khumo tires and a magnaflow dual catback exhaust system
How much do you think i could get for it

i need your help because i dont know if its worth getting. does anyone know if it sounds good in person because videos dont always sound the same. and also would it be a good investment for later when i sell the car or would people rather have it stock plz help THANKS.

thinking about getting a magnaflow catback exhaust system for my jetta, what do you think? also need a good set of rims and tires

im in need for a new exhaust for my car and instead of getting another stock one, i figured i would get an aftermarket one, cat-back of course.

I own an 96 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. I dont want it too sound too "ricey" so im willing to spend the money to make it sound good.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what brand i should get? I heard magnaflow sounds great and HKS and i narrowed it down to those 2. What brand do you think would be good?

And does anyone know where the best place would be to buy exhaust systems price wise? i dont really wanna spend $500 on an exhaust system so if anyone knows a great website, please tell me. thanks

Just wondering what everyone thinks,
I know borla corsa etc all of the most expensive brands are the best (in my opinion) and a V6 will never every sound like a v8, but how would yous rank and compare Flowmasters, Magnaflow, Mac, Ford Racing performance parts, etc. for V6s

Thanks in advance!

And what are the benefits of this exhaust system?

thanks

  1. I think the magnaflow brand carry are one of the top performance exacusts out there. There are quite a few places online that you can find out more about mangaflow exhaust systems.
